v0.1 Launch Notes

Great Lakes v0.1 Launch Notes

Thank you for playing my game! I worked hard to make these features feel as deep as the Great Lakes:

  • Consume the blood of your customers to fill your thirst. Biting scares away all customers currently in line at that block, but you get power-ups based on their addictions:
    • Zaza – +10% spawn rate of customers per blood level
    • Crystal - +10% sale price per blood level
    • Yayo - +30% speed & + 15% deal speed per blood level
  • Cook product at the trap house. Progress through the story to increase the amount Marshall can cook at one time.
  • Stand at a corner to automatically deal to customers
  • Cut your product by visiting the corner store. You must have at least 50g of that product, and purchasing the cutting product will add 50g to your inventory.
    • Cut product lowers the addiction of your customers slowly over time. This will lower the spawn rate a little.
    • (The addiction rate is a mechanic I plan to flesh out further with breaking news, seasonal events, market manipulation, etc…)
  • Hire dealers to automate street deals. In the late game, you can focus on trading between ports while the dealers handle the corners.
    • Dealers keep 20% of the profit
  • If you have more than 1,000g of a product, the brick symbol appears under the product.
    • Bricks are the unit you can sell at ports when flying in the lake view
    • The market prices listed on the lake screen are dollars per gram. When you trade a 1kg brick, the value is multiplied by $1,000.
  • At the end of each week, as seen on the calendar in the lake view, the market price is updated.
    • The market simulates changes in supply, demand, and quantity available for you to buy at the port.
    • The simulation includes randomness to create unique strategies for each playthrough!
